The priest who was identified as Yemi Elebuibon disclosed that the former queen must undergo some necessary traditional cleansing in order for her to live a normal life. According to The Sun, Elebuibon said: “The wife of the Oba will be asked to consult Ifa and Ifa will give directions on how she will make the necessary atonement for her cleansing. He also talked about the problems the Ooni’s ex-wife might encounter if she refuses to undergo the traditional cleansing rites. “For the woman, she might not really have a problem but for any man, who sleeps with a queen or marries an ex-queen without the appropriate cleansing, the man may die prematurely, he may be struck with sickness or there might be retrogression in his life. Any marriage she would be going into must not be elaborate. They should go far away and avoid any flamboyant wedding.”

It could also be recalled that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has gone into seclusion for seven days in preparation for the annual Olojo festival which is set to hold on Saturday, September 30.

The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has commenced an indefinite strike over the failure of the federal government to meet its demands.

The association resolved to take this action after its national executive council meeting which ended in the early hours of Monday in Abuja.

Some of the demands of the association include;
Payment of the salary arrears of its members in federal and state health institutions and the upgrade of its members who have met the requisite criteria for promotion.

In July, NARD issued a warning to the government that it would embark on an indefinite strike if its demands were not met.

“Neither the federal nor state governments has shown commitment to the resolution of issues at stake nor honoured previous agreements,” Olusegun Olaopa, president of NARD University College Hospital, Ibadan, had said in a statement.

“Consequent upon this, the association resolved to proceed on a total indefinite industrial action from Monday, September 4, 2017, until all these issues are permanently resolved.

“Nationwide pre-strike protests against this injustice are to hold in all our branches and states of the federation on August 30, 2017.

“All heads of tertiary health institutions who have received funding for payments to our members should be directed to pay same immediately.”

Music: I Can't Compete With Tiwa Savage- Omotola
Nollywood actress Omotola Ekeinde who has never hide her love for music is once again speaking out about it. According to the actress, she will still be doing music and can only pray she works with her producer son some day, because they mostly do not agree at a thing. 'He pushes me around', the actress told Entertainer. Speaking further on her son and also saying she is not in a competition with the likes of Tiwa Savage, the actress said;

Well, I would like him (her son) to produce but we fight a lot. I used to complain a lot before but I have stopped because I know he takes after me. He knows what he wants and goes for it. I am always like ‘you’ve not even started yet and you are always acting so stubborn and pushing me around’. I don’t think we can ever get to work together because we are both headstrong. But on the other hand, I would love to work with him because he is a very fantastic producer. I just hope someday we can find a balance, agree and just let it happen. I want to do music in a way that I would always be at concerts. I don’t want to be like Tiwa Savage because that is her first career and I have movies as my first. I can’t compete with Tiwa. I like to express myself with music and I like to perform where people can come and watch me. So, I am planning on shaping my music career towards that end.

Policemen Forced Man At Gun Point To Withdraw N140,000 from ATM in Lagos
Four police men from Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, attached to Area K Badagry have been arrested and taken to X-Squad Ikeja for using guns to force a helpless man, identified as Apagbo John, to the bank to withdraw N140,000 in the night in exchange of his life.

The officers were identified as two Inspectors - Pativon Patrick and Owolabi Oke and two Sergeants namely Momoh Jimoh and Akinmade Kehinde.

The incident happened at about 10pm at the ATM of Agbara branch of UBA along Badagry Expressway, Lagos.

According to PM Express, the dastardly act was leaked to the Area Commander, Hope Okafor who promptly intervened, ordered for their arrest and detention and they were subsequently transferred to the X-Squad for necessary action.

The suspects were currently detained at the State Police Command, Ikeja where they will likely face orderly-room trial.

It was gathered that the victim, John, suffered his fate when he was driving home late in the evening with his parents vehicle and there was traffic along the expressway.

The accused police officers stopped him beside the road, labeled him a suspect and threatened to kill him that night as a robber.

It was gathered that he pleaded with them not to kill him but asked them to take everything he had on him including the vehicle to spare his life.

They then allegedly forced him to their office at Area K Command, where they told him that he can only be alive if he will bring certain amount of money.

John told the officers that he was with his ATM card and had about N140,000 in the account.

It was learnt that they marched him to Agbara that night with their guns where he withdrew the money and gave them.

After collecting the money, they insisted it was not enough and detained him at Area K Command.

Meanwhile, the money he withdrew at the bank belonged to his father who received alerts on the withdrawals.

However, the evil plot was exposed when his parents started making inquiry on what was happening to him and John was traced to the Command.

It was then the information got to the Area Commander, who was still in the office and she quickly stepped in, ordered the arrest of the officers, collected the money and returned to the victim.

The suspects are still detained there where they were making useful statements. The incident was well known in the area and has attracted public condemnation.

The residents commended the Area Commander for her resilience in the fight to reduce corruption among the officers, which they said were unprecedented in the area.

The Nigerian Army has deployed soldiers to take over security of the premises housing 17,000 live bombs in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Soldiers from 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, were said to have taken over the premises days back.

A team of bomb experts from 34 Artillery Brigade have been dispatched to site where the explosives are being stockpiled at No. 109, Achike Udenka Avenue in new Owerri, a densely populated area, to get a first hand information of the situation on the explosives, with a view to reporting to the authorities on the next line of action.

This is even as Professor Yakubu has raised fresh alarm over the presence of another 44,000, bombs in some uncleared locations across the southeastern part of the country, saying some of these explosives are located in schools, churches, markets and other public places.

Biafran Secret Service Fear
The explosive expert who expressed delight over the concern of the army authorities, especially with the security challenges in the country and the establishment of a Biafran Secret Service recently, said “the soldiers would guard the place until we are ready to destroy the bombs.”

Beside the military authorities, Prof. Yakubu, said he had also been contacted by officials from the Department of State Security Services (DSS), who he said have been providing security for the premises after he contacted them over the issue during the 2015 general elections.

Security on the premises
When The Sun made contacts over the security of the premises by soldiers, Public Relations Officer in charge of 34 Artillery Brigade, Captain Haruna Tagwai, said “the army has already provided security on the premises, but the property belongs to the Ministry of Defence.”

“If you want more fact about it, you can contact the press’s secretary in the Ministry of Defence.”

Ooni & I Are No More - Olori Wuraola Releases Statement
We have got to stop this culture of shaming and vilifying women with false stories of infidelity & nefarious behavior. The spreading of false information (through "sources" afraid to be identified) is the mark of cowards and a cover up for guilty parties to justify their horrific actions. There is absolutely no truth to the media circulated lies of infidelity and infertility- on my end.

What I can confirm, is that the Ooni and I are no more. I inhale love & exhale gratitude. My journey continues as a Humanitarian aiding women and victims of domestic violence & abuse with the United Nations. No matter how much time you've invested, no matter the use of media to silence & manipulate, no matter the circumstance, slander, embarrassment, threats and lies: Get out and seek immediate help! Continue...

We've seen this movie before. Women being dragged in the press & blamed for everything under the sun. This behavior is unacceptable. I urge those involved to be mindful of their actions for the eyes of our Almighty God are always watching. The seeds of slander is a cancer that harvests to eat away the souls of the planter.

The throne is sacred and the attempts to tarnish the name of a Queen, in defense or on behalf of a silent King makes all involved look terrible. Remain dignified in all you do. It's not the end of the world, but the start of a new chapter and you must turn the page with grace. The world is watching.
As I bid adieu to this chapter, my wish to you all is to step into your lives - boldly & fearlessly, the way God intended and live not just by words, but through example. The best chapter in our lives is the one we are writing now. Thank you for your love and support.
With peace, love &  light, -Her Highness, Zaynab Otiti Obanor.
